Paste an image

The extension provides a command to paste an image from the clipboard into your document.

  1. Copy an image to your clipboard.

  2. Open the command palette — Ctrl+Shift+P or F1 (Mac: Cmd+Shift+P) — and select AsciiDoc: Paste Image, or use the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+V (Mac: Option+Cmd+V).

  3. An image file named with the current timestamp is created in the same folder as the document.

  4. An image macro pointing to the new file is inserted at the cursor.
